RoadTrip Rank — Privacy Policy

RoadTrip Rank (“the app”) records and analyses your drives and, if you choose, compares them with your friends or with drivers across your country. This policy explains plainly which data we process and why, where we keep it, and how you can delete it.

Summary: Your raw GPS trace and your route are yours alone in every case. If you turn on “Upload my drives to the cloud”, the rest of your drives — duration, distance, speed, score — become visible to other drivers; while the permission is off, nothing is uploaded at all. You can delete everything we hold on the server from inside the app.

1. Data we collect

Location data (GPS): to record your drive, draw your route and measure your speed and distance. While a recording runs, a foreground service reads your location. If you grant it, the app can also detect that you got into a vehicle and start recording while the app is closed (background location).
Activity recognition: to detect getting into and out of a vehicle. Bluetooth connection state is read only to speed that detection up.
Account information: the app creates an anonymous account on first launch. If you link a Google account, we process your Firebase Authentication identifier, the nickname you choose and your profile picture.
Drive data: duration, distance, speed, score, driving metrics (smoothness, cornering, consistency, discipline), road class and drive mode.
Usage data: in-app events through Firebase Analytics (for example: drive completed, leaderboard viewed). Your name, e-mail, driver code and location are never attached to these events as parameters.
Notifications: Firebase Cloud Messaging gives this installation a push token so that it can receive announcements from us. They are shown only if you allow notifications, and you can turn them off at any time in your phone’s settings. We do not store the token with your account or your drives.

2. What stays on the device / what reaches the server

Your raw GPS trace is stored on your device first. Only if you explicitly grant the leaderboard/backup permission is the trace backed up to your account in compressed form; that backup is readable only by you and closed to other users. Its purpose is to let you find your history, maps and analyses when you sign in on another device.
Other data that reaches the server (while consent is on): your nickname, profile picture, driver code, race results and the duration, distance, speeds, event counts and scores of all of your drives. No location information is ever written into these records — no coordinates, no city or district, no route name.
While consent is off, your drives stay only on your phone; they never reach the server and cannot enter any leaderboard.

3. What other users can see

While consent is on, all of your uploaded drives — not only those that make it into a leaderboard — are visible to other signed-in users of the app. Anyone who taps your name in a ranking or in a friend list can open your profile and see your drives and your averages.

Visible: your nickname, profile picture, driver code, drive score, duration, distance, speeds, event counts (harsh braking, harsh acceleration, sharp cornering), driving metrics and drive mode.

Not visible: your raw GPS trace, your route, the city or district you drove in, your address and your e-mail. The trace is stored separately and is readable only by you; no location information is ever written into drive records.

While consent is off, none of your drives are uploaded, so nobody can see them. If you change your mind you can erase everything we hold on the server from inside the app: Profile → MY DATA → “Leave the leaderboard and delete my records”. Your account stays.

4. Third parties we share data with

The app mostly runs on Google’s infrastructure:

Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) — hosting and securing account, drive and leaderboard data, crash diagnostics and announcement notifications.
Google AdMob — advertising. Consent for ad personalisation is handled by the consent screen (UMP) shown on first launch; depending on your region you can decline it.
Google Play Services — location and activity recognition.
Google Play Billing — selling and verifying the subscription. Payment details are handled by Google; we never see them.
TikTok (TikTok for Business) — measuring our TikTok ad campaigns. The TikTok SDK sends app install, open and a few in-app milestone events (such as completing your first drive) together with device information and the advertising ID. Your name, email, driver code and location are never sent. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in your Android settings.

We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising or marketing.

5. Subscription and purchase data

If you buy the Premium subscription:

We never see your payment details. Card number, address and billing information go only to Google Play; they never reach the app.
The purchase token issued by Google Play is sent to our server. The server asks the Google Play Developer API whether the subscription is genuinely valid — without this step a modified app could unlock Premium for free.
The result is stored under entitlements/{uid}: whether the subscription is active, the state reported by Play, the end of the paid period and the token itself. The token is kept so the subscription can be re-checked on later renewals.
This record is readable only by you; no other user can read it and it cannot be modified from inside the app.
Deleting your account deletes this record too. The subscription itself is managed by Google Play and must be cancelled separately (Profile → Manage subscription).

6. Deleting your data

You can delete your data on the server at any time from inside the app: Profile → MY DATA.

Leave the leaderboard and delete my records: all your race results, your Rank Points and the drive history backed up to the cloud are deleted. Your account and the drives on your phone stay.
Delete my account: in addition to the above, your profile, driver code, friendships and your account (authentication record) are permanently deleted, and every drive and photo on your phone is wiped. This cannot be undone.

If you cannot reach the app, you can request deletion at the e-mail address below.

7. Data retention

We keep your data until you delete it or close your account. When you delete it, the copies on the server are removed. Data on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app.

8. Children

The app is not directed at users under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from that age group.

9. Your rights

Under GDPR and the Turkish data protection law (KVKK) you have the right to access, correct and delete your data. Deletion is mostly possible from inside the app; for other requests you can contact us.

RoadTrip Rank ("uygulama"), sürüşlerini kaydedip analiz eden ve dilersen arkadaşlarınla ya da ülke geneliyle karşılaştıran bir uygulamadır. Bu politika hangi verileri neden işlediğimizi, nerede sakladığımızı ve nasıl silebileceğini açık açık anlatır.

Özet: Ham GPS izin ve rotan her koşulda sana özeldir. "Sürüşlerimi buluta yükle" iznini verirsen sürüşlerinin geri kalanı — süre, mesafe, hız, puan — diğer sürücülere açık olur; izin kapalıyken hiçbir şey yüklenmez. Sunucudaki bütün verini uygulama içinden silebilirsin.

1. Topladığımız veriler

Konum verisi (GPS): Sürüşünü kaydetmek, rotanı çizmek, hızını ve mesafeni ölçmek için. Kayıt sırasında ön planda çalışan bir servis konumunu okur. İzin verirsen uygulama kapalıyken de araca bindiğini algılayıp kaydı başlatabilir (arka plan konumu).
Hareket/aktivite algılama: Araca binip indiğini anlamak için (Activity Recognition). Bluetooth bağlantı durumu yalnızca bunu hızlandırmak için okunur.
Hesap bilgisi: Uygulama açılışta anonim bir hesap açar. Google hesabını bağlarsan Firebase Authentication kimliğin ve seçtiğin takma ad ile profil fotoğrafın işlenir.
Sürüş verileri: Süre, mesafe, hız, skor, sürücü metrikleri (yumuşaklık, viraj, tutarlılık, disiplin), yol sınıfı ve sürüş modu.
Kullanım verisi: Firebase Analytics aracılığıyla uygulama içi olaylar (örn. sürüş tamamlandı, sıralama görüntülendi). Bu olaylara adın, e-postan, sürücü kodun veya konumun parametre olarak eklenmez.
Bildirimler: Firebase Cloud Messaging, duyurularımızı alabilmesi için bu kuruluma bir bildirim kimliği (token) atar. Duyurular yalnızca bildirimlere izin verirsen gösterilir; telefonunun ayarlarından istediğin zaman kapatabilirsin. Bu kimliği hesabınla ya da sürüşlerinle birlikte saklamayız.

2. Cihazda kalan / sunucuya giden

Ham GPS izin öncelikle cihazında saklanır. Yalnızca sıralama/yedekleme iznini açıkça verirsen, izin sıkıştırılmış biçimde hesabına yedeklenir; bu yedek yalnızca senin tarafından okunabilir, başka kullanıcılara kapalıdır. Amacı: başka bir cihazda aynı hesapla girdiğinde geçmişini, haritalarını ve analizlerini bulmak.
Sunucuya giden diğer veriler (rıza açıkken): takma adın, profil fotoğrafın, sürücü kodun, yarış sonuçların ve bütün sürüşlerinin süresi, mesafesi, hızları, olay sayaçları ve puanları. Bu kayıtlara konum bilgisi hiç yazılmaz — ne koordinat, ne gittiğin il/ilçe, ne rota adı.
Rıza kapalıyken sürüşlerin yalnızca telefonunda kalır; sunucuya gitmez ve sıralamaya girmez.

3. Diğer kullanıcılara açık olanlar

Rıza açıkken yüklenen bütün sürüşlerin — yalnızca bir sıralamaya girenler değil — uygulamaya giriş yapmış diğer kullanıcılara açık olur. Sıralamada ya da arkadaş listesinde adına dokunan biri profilini açıp sürüşlerini ve ortalamalarını görebilir.

Görünenler: takma adın, profil fotoğrafın, sürücü kodun, sürüş puanın, süren, mesafen, hızların, olay sayaçların (sert fren, sert hızlanma, keskin viraj), sürüş ölçütlerin ve sürüş modun.

Görünmeyenler: ham GPS izin, rotan, gittiğin il/ilçe, adresin ve e-postan. İz ayrı bir yerde saklanır ve yalnızca senin tarafından okunabilir; sürüş kayıtlarına konum bilgisi hiç yazılmaz.

Rıza kapalıyken hiçbir sürüşün yüklenmez, dolayısıyla kimse tarafından görülemez. Fikrini değiştirirsen uygulama içindeki Profil → VERİLERİM → "Sıralamadan çekil ve kayıtlarımı sil" ile sunucudaki bütün izini silebilirsin; hesabın kalır.

4. Verini paylaştığımız üçüncü taraflar

Uygulama büyük ölçüde Google'ın altyapısını kullanır:

Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) — hesap, sürüş ve sıralama verisinin barındırılması ve güvenliği, çökme teşhisi ve duyuru bildirimleri.
Google AdMob — reklamlar. Reklam kişiselleştirme rızası, ilk açılışta gösterilen onay ekranıyla (UMP) yönetilir; bölgene göre reddedebilirsin.
Google Play Services — konum ve hareket algılama.
Google Play Faturalandırma — abonelik satışı ve doğrulaması. Ödeme bilgilerini Google işler, biz görmeyiz.
TikTok (TikTok for Business) — TikTok reklam kampanyalarımızın ölçümü. TikTok SDK'sı kurulum, açılış ve birkaç uygulama içi aşama olayını (ilk sürüşünü tamamlaman gibi) cihaz bilgisi ve reklam kimliğiyle birlikte gönderir. Adın, e-postan, sürücü kodun ve konumun asla gönderilmez. Reklam kimliğini Android ayarlarından sıfırlayabilir ya da silebilirsin.

Verini reklam ya da pazarlama için üçüncü taraflara satmayız.

5. Abonelik ve satın alma verisi

Premium aboneliği satın alırsan:

Ödeme bilgilerini görmüyoruz. Kart numarası, adres ve fatura bilgileri yalnızca Google Play'e gider; uygulamaya hiç ulaşmaz.
Google Play'in verdiği satın alma jetonu sunucumuza gönderilir. Sunucu bu jetonu Google Play Developer API'sine sorarak aboneliğin gerçekten geçerli olduğunu doğrular — bu adım olmadan değiştirilmiş bir uygulama premium'u bedavaya açabilirdi.
Doğrulama sonucu entitlements/{uid} altında saklanır: aboneliğin açık olup olmadığı, Play'in bildirdiği durum, dönem bitiş zamanı ve jetonun kendisi. Jeton, aboneliğin sonraki tazelemelerde yeniden sorgulanabilmesi için tutulur.
Bu kayıt yalnızca sana açıktır; başka hiçbir kullanıcı okuyamaz ve uygulama içinden değiştirilemez.
Hesabını sildiğinde bu kayıt da silinir. Aboneliğin kendisi Google Play tarafında yönetilir ve ayrıca iptal edilmelidir (Profil → Aboneliği yönet).

6. Verini silme

Sunucudaki verini istediğin zaman uygulama içinden silebilirsin: Profil → VERİLERİM.

Sıralamadan çekil ve kayıtlarımı sil: Sunucudaki tüm yarış sonuçların, Rank Puanın ve buluta yedeklenmiş sürüş geçmişin silinir. Hesabın ve telefonundaki sürüşler kalır.
Hesabımı sil: Yukarıdakilere ek olarak profilin, sürücü kodun, arkadaşlıkların ve hesabın (kimlik doğrulama kaydın) kalıcı olarak silinir; telefonundaki tüm sürüşler ve fotoğraflar da temizlenir. Bu işlem geri alınamaz.

Uygulamaya erişemiyorsan aşağıdaki e-postadan silme talebinde bulunabilirsin.

7. Veri saklama

Verini sen silene ya da hesabını kapatana kadar saklarız. Sildiğinde sunucudaki kopyalar kaldırılır. Cihazındaki veriler uygulamayı kaldırınca silinir.

8. Çocuklar

Uygulama 13 yaşın altındaki kullanıcılara yönelik değildir ve bilerek bu yaş grubundan veri toplamaz.

9. Haklarını

KVKK ve GDPR kapsamında verine erişme, düzeltme ve silme hakkın vardır. Silme çoğunlukla uygulama içinden mümkündür; diğer talepler için bize ulaşabilirsin.
